VMC teams and partners in the 2016 World Predator Classic

The World Predator Classic is taking place this week in Hellevoetsluis (Netherlands) from 28th June - 2nd July. VMC is supporting the event for the third consecutive year as official hook sponsor and is proud to have a number of top international anglers "Armed with VMC"', representing VMC Hooks and sister lure brands RAPALA and STORM.

So, who is in the VMC line-up for this year ?

WPC Boat Event - VMC Team Poland

Flying the Polish flag for VMC in the boat event this year will be captain Rafał Wąsik (aka WĄSAL) and Robert Taszarek. It will be their first time fishing in the WPC, but both are experienced predator anglers and angling consultants for Normark Polska.

Rafał Wąsik is married to Kamila with two fantastic children – Jaś and Zosia. He has been fishing for over 30 years, with the last 20 mainly dedicated to spinning.  He spends a lot of time fishing  - for which he thanks his wife for her consideration!! - mainly from a boat on dams, lakes and rivers in Poland, Sweden and Slovakia, for pike perch (zander) and black bass. Since he has always wanted to combine his passion for fishing and his work, Rafał has been running a fishing shop in Grójec for the last 8 years, and last year he opened a second fishing shop in Otwock.

Robert Taszarek has been fishing for over 40 years; it is his passion and way of life. His favorite predator species are trout, black bass, pike and pike perch (zander). Robert has worked as a fishing guide and a resident of Travel Agency Eventur Fishing in Sweden, and joined the Normark Polska team last year as a Rapala consultant. In the 90s, Robert was a member of the Polish National Spinning Team for many years, with numerous successes. During the years 2000-2007 he was a coach of the Polish National Spinning Team, winning The World Spinning Championships (Italy) twice in 2003/2004, both as a team and individually. As part of the Polish National Team they also won twice the European Pike Fishing Competition in Vastervik (Sweden).
